The reason why BJP came to power is their core voter base demanding Hindu favouring policies and acts. Here, what we see is mockery of these voters. I understand politics is complicated and you have to make alliances but wtf! In 11 good years, not a single Hindu favouring policies. BJP wants to score brownie points with muslim voter base, laadli behen yojana, etc. But the ears of Hindu are pleading to hear UCC, Kashi, Mathura, regular deportation of illegal bangladeshi, fencing of Bengal Border and north east, etc.

GDP per capita (literally one of the true measures of economic progress) is just something we ignore while swallowing the PPP and "largest economy" bromide. Because deep down, for most of us, it's more about us versus them, iykyk, than genuine economic progress.

BJP just does the us vs them part well, or is the only party that actually cares about it rightfully, so we excuse them, even if the economic performance is pretty low.

If you look at what Javier Milei is trying to achieve, and has already achieved in Argentina in just a year, it should be a wake up call for all of us to see what's actually possible.

The us vs them part is important, but we should be just as thoughtful, if not more, about the economy.

I want to comment on the second part since everyone notices comments on the first half. Here are my thoughts based on my observations.

1. The average youth appears so unprepared now that even top students lack practical skills, speaking from experience (the state of students at Jammu's top colleges like GGM, MM college, Women's college etc). I’ve seen students enroll in college solely for a degree and work towards government jobs without a clear path. They don’t have anything practical they can apply in a job. This is partly due to our education system and partly the students themselves. We need a curriculum change to help students understand what they want to do (which I know will fail too since many lack clear goals beyond getting sarkaari naukri). 

2. Our education and syllabus is a complete joke. The BCA syllabus in Jammu colleges, such as Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, is so outdated that what they teach is almost entirely unusable in practice, except for about 10% which covers basic concepts. Infact, during my 5th semester, the professor who came from university to mark my project was shocked to see the technology(the migration system for swl, dot net core, vuejs, ts) that me and my team used for our project. And to us that thing was basic (our team was of 2 people including me and we both are self taught developers). 
Additionally, many government colleges lack placement drives for students, which ties back to the previous point, because the youth lack talent or skills for any job beyond browsing social media and do not want to learn as it's an inconvenience. 

3. I have seen people take advantage of the smart city stuff here in Jammu. Many individuals have had disputes with workers or the government to extort money. For example, during the construction of the freeway, some deliberately built houses to obtain free money and land from the government. Again, this mentality hinders development. Adding to this is corruption, from builders to the local ministers who handle the projects. Many prioritize personal gain first, you know. 

4. As mentioned above, everyone seeks government jobs. As a result, there are few new businesses or ventures. Well, nothing new. And the startups tha we have are mostly revolving around deliveries, food, clothing etc which can't really provide big jump to people working under it(except cos) like ground level workers, etc

5. Delhi residents often do not follow any regulations to help reduce pollution, so the government can't do much. The odd–even formula helped a bit, but people and officials abandoned it seems? Haven't seen anything about it recently. Regarding forest cover, we have seen forceful clearing of forest areas in the name of IT parks, and the growing population is clearing forests faster than they can be replanted. I know of some areas once covered with trees that are now cleared for housing.

6. Communal tensions are mostly fueled by external factors and opposing parties to extract votes (I’m saying this for all parties, not taking sides). It is then up to the people whether they take the bait. Considering how misguided many are, they easily do so and start fighting over petty reasons like religion, community festivals, languages, etc., just so they can... (Well if I say what's on my mind, automod will block my comment again so let's just say) support more. 
Regarding freedom of press and speech, I have concerns. It seems people can say whatever they want, no matter how unreasonable or threatening, without consequences. This kind of freedom is extremely dangerous, but there is little that can be done when the average person is well, Incapable of rational thoughts. 

7. Can't make any comment as police/judges were corrupted, are corrupted and will remain corrupted no matter what.

8. I cannot comment much. It is a failure of the Manipur government first and the central government next. I understand that the central government cannot directly interfere in such matters according to the constitution or whatnot, but I still think the Centre should take drastic steps even at the expense of losing its voter support. We do not want another Naxalite-affected state, and the same applies to West Bengal. You know, the recent arrest of Sharmista.

Digital Economy

Elimination of Naxal ( almost done, absolutely massive)

Electrification of Railways

Electricity coverage ( bit shameful that it took so long, and UPA should be ashamed)

House and Toilet in Rural area ( again huge for Rural areas)

Border roads ( this is just absolutely massive win)

Focus :

Education R&amp;D and Healthcare : Not enough money is being spent

Reduce welfare programs and move it to these 3 sectors

Defence: Acquisition and accountability needs to improve. Budget needs to go up ( has been falling as % under NDA, not acceptable)

Infrastructure push needs to be accelerated, a lot of projects needs to be completed on priority. Plus more accountability and transparency 

Declutterring of Laws,  Business friendly environment. We are still very difficult country for business

We need massive spending on Education,R&amp;D and Healthcare.We cannot solve problems of unemployment with subsidies and Ladli behn Yojanas anymore.Even with massive infrastructure changes and constant focus,itll take us decades to catch upto China,but we can’t afford to laze around anymore.We have to stop relying on easy fixes of distributing money for everything.
We should be ashamed of having 80 crore people relying on rations despite being a food surplus country.

The health insurance scheme (at least in Maharashtra) is not really very helpful. It's a top-up over 1 lakh deductible (which was never mentioned in the ads). In majority of cases, the spend is below 1 lakh for poor people. So, this has not greatly changed things in healthcare scene for most of the working class. But it's a good step.

The only grouse that I have is that we need massive civic body reforms now. Our cities and local roads are full of potholes and are not maintained at all. We need more accountability from local bodies. Make them tied with the MLA or there should be some sort of performance based rewards or punishment policies.
